Hi Rizz, I can only compare the Plus strat with my Mexican. The outputs are similar, the plus has nicer warm straty sounds, compared the mex's thinner tones. The weight of the plus is slightly heavier. Both the strats are a dream to play. The Plus strat just has the better feel of a better quality build and tone which I wouldn't have known about had I not had time to compare them both.
My guitars of choice for gigs will be the new strat, and the ES335 as a spare and for contrast in tone.
