How to lose time and money in a quick way with your internet access provider?

Hi guys,

here's the explanation why I'm not flying with you at the moment and why I wasn't posting on the forum too....

For the last 6 years, I'm (was) using the same internet provider called "Free". It's rather good and fast... And my mother was paying for it.

Today, she's not living in the same house as me, so she decided I shall take over the bills. So she sent a letter ordering to terminate the contract with Free.

Aware of her decision, I told her there's an option on Free's homepage to modify the bank coordonates of the one paying. You can even change the name of the holder of the internet line.

So, now is the stupid part... I made those changes and called Free to tell them to cancel the termination order. They said ok, so I thought everything was fine. Except that they cut me the internet on friday....

I called them, and the explanation was : you asked for a termination.

Then of course I said that I knew about this request and that I asked for a cancellation of this termination.
I was replied that the cancelation order came the 4th of january and that they received it. But the termination letter arrived only the 5th... So the termination was done and they didn't even thought about why there was a cancellation order in the first place...

So, I politely adked if they had received a termination order before the 4th of january. Then I asked them why they thought I had asked for a cancellation of a termination order if they didn't have one in the first place.

Well, that was a bit a shameful conversation that was leading nowhere. So I gently asked if they could restart my internet connectionЕ. And it was not possibleЕ Because УI had to send back my modem/router back so they could finish the termination operationФЕ

Result, 1.30 hours spent on the phone for nothing (invoiced 0.34А/min) + 12 А to send the router back to themЕ. Just to receive one back in a few daysЕ. Because I took a new contract with themЕ.

So stupidЕ. I hope I have everything fixed in a few daysЕ.

And no blowing of spits to calm me
