Had my copy delivered by Fedex at 08.45 this morning so I have had a chance of playing around with it.
First impressions,no particular order.
Graphics- I am running a Q6600 not o/clocked and a Nvid 260 with 800 odd meg ram plus 8 gig ddr2 ram and it looks very good at 1680 x 1050 with everything maxed apart from bloom and post,AA x4 AF x4 v/sync on. Well happy.
Setup- You can only adjust outside of game,when you click the run icon a set up screen follows with the usual pages,sound,inpur etc.This cannot be accesed from in game.bit of a P I T A at the moment cos initially you will be in and out of the set up quite a lot till you are happy.
Aircraft- ONLY 2 flyables at the moment,DV 7 and a Spad, more to follow July 7th according to forums.Handle well.If all the help is turned off then you can control radiators,fuel richness but no trim !More throttle and nose rises, less nose dives.Really seat of your pants stuff.
Training- Quite a lot of cut scenes you can skip by moving the mouse to the bottom of the screen and clicking on the Skip icon.
Its a bit new and a bit different but when you get used to it its pretty good.
I`m happy at the moment.
