Posted by M O R A F I C on September 14, 2005, 4:16 pm, in reply to "It's been so long, and the colors all turn gray without you // ALL" MORAFIC was nothing but a silver shadow, slipping amongst the emerald tendrils of afternoon. a minute amount of light wrought it's thin fingers through the canopies gaps, luminating even the darkest spaces that one might think would never see the light of day. it was during these times of solitude that her mind wandered; constructing unfortunate scenes for her to hope would not be carried out. as intelligent as she was, it was a shame she kept to herself so often. one of these dreary nights, perhaps she would meet someone.. someone who would listen to her mindless rambling, and then.. then at that point of time, they would discover that she was not just some random mare. she was someone of value.. of intelligence. someone that would be critical to keep around. MORAFIC was idling along.. and it wasn't until a faint breeze shifted beneath her nostrils that her attention was cast through those concealing tendrils of forelock to what was confronting her. it was a gathering, of some sort, although there was such a short amount of others that you couldn't even call it a group. MORAFIC was weary, considering she was the newest on the block, crept towards the back of the crowd, moving almost as if she would be left unnoticed. she had arrived just as he had begun to speak, in time to catch his name. a single auricle cast forth, her attention now upon the buttermilk hued male. MARLBORO.. her mind matching the repeated name to the face. she would remember this, as she was not one to forget a name. and from that point on, she listened. listened to the story that he had to tell.. and throughout all of this she put it together in her mind. his speech gave her hope; the Eagles, of which she was now apart of, was just beginning to put itself together. and at this point in time, when no one would cast their trust or their glances towards this newfound King, MORAFIC would step forth. MORAFIC collected herself, which was odd and unseen for her, pulling herself together. squeezing between a pair of equus that had crowded around the male to listen as well. although she was new, perhaps was everyone else beneath his eyes. she was no different to him than any of the others, and this comforted her. gazing from behind those placid tendrils of forelock, a single ashened grey eye gazed up towards her King. a brief nod of her crown was given in acknowledgement of MARLBORO'S dominance; position; whatever you wanted to call it. MORAFIC was alone, and it did not hurt to put trust in someone, somewhere, when you had nobody else to go to. "My trust and loyalties rest with you, MARLBORO. Do not misuse or abuse them. I am here to soar with the Eagles, now.." MORAFIC could be confusing, at times, and when a brief rise of her jawbone was noticed, one could not decipher whether it was a smile that was being offered to him or a twitch of her face. the afternoon light set an uncomfortable warmth upon her back, and she shifted uneasily beneath it. and now she stood besides the male whom she would place her trust and loyalty within. MORAFIC was not one to do this often, but seeing what trouble her homeland could be in without it, she felt the need to put herself out there. she glanced expectantly across the vast spanse of land that adorned her home, almost as though she hoped more would come forth with the attitude that a newcomer had. she hoped that she would not be looked down on for such eagerness. glancing back towards the male, she spoke. "I am willing to serve wherever I am needed. I will work myself up in time, I am just ready to bring these Eagles back down to Earth." MORAFIC offered a brief smile, however it faded in a short period of time. her gaze now rested upon the rest of the Eagles, awaiting what was to confront them next. she was ready.

MORAFIC had been wandering for hours on end, unsure as to when it might lead her to the depths of her home. home.. such a comforting word when spoken, but what would it be like? would she be welcomed, scorned? pushed at, spit on? MORAFIC could conjure up the worst case scenarios ever within that mind of hers, but most of the time, it was wrong. she was quiet, kept to herself, and because of that she normally did not have trouble with anyone or anything else. her appearance would misconstrue what her personality was like, but that did not bother her. she had grown up trusting, confiding within, and living besides one. that was all she needed, was one.
one day i'll come back to you
