I'm sorry, Karen, I'm sitting here laughing. I don't think there's much you really CAN do, until morning anyway. And I'll bet Ruby solves your problem before that, if she gets half a chance.
The last time I had a mouse in the house I got lucky. Well, as lucky as one CAN be with a mouse in the house. Ivy caught it and had it in her mouth when I saw her. Ivy's semi-feral, so when I jumped out of my chair she ran into the bathroom, where she dropped her prize. It ran into the corner. My bucket was upside down in the tub, where I'd left it to dry when I mopped the floor earlier in the day; I grabbed the bucket and managed to catch the mouse between the bucket and the side of the tub, and I just tilted the bucket up to catch the little guy. I walked him across the street and down a way, then let him go.
