and he still wants the dry food "topped up". He wants people food any time we are eating but he doesn't get mean if he doesn't get it. He might pat me with a paw and meow this pitiful, high pitched meow (such a big cat, such a tiny voice!)so that I will understand that he is STARVING!! My Gabriel (large, gray shorthair) is a semi-feral who guards the yard and only lets a few cats in. Cats that had a home don't usually have a clue about being outside and, if they are lucky, someone takes them in.
