tornado watches all afternoon and evening and the storm line looked like it went straight up the state from Emporia (at the NC line) to just above our location west of Richmond. The rain and wind was something fierce, but we didn't have any damage. I haven't heard whether a tornado actually touched down anywhere this time. What is it with all these tornados in unusual places this year?
