Please remember, Smokey is well and young again and waiting for you at the Bridge. Nothing anyone of us can say to you will take away the pain that goes with your loss. Take comfort in knowing that you gave her a wonderful life for 19 years and she gave you 19 years of love in return.
Four years ago my beloved Buttons pass to the Bridge at 17 years. Something told me what was happening but as long as she was not in pain, I wanted her to pass away in my arms. My husband and I sat with her. Stroking her and telling her how much we loved her. With her final breath, as she passed to the Bridge, she started to purr. I knew then that the Bridge does exist and that she waits for me when it's my time.
Your Smokey looks down on you now with love and affection. She lives on in your heart. May God Bless you and give you peace of mind.
