the preliminary results of the necropsy showed 'nothing remarkable' even the lining of the gut was intact. mom was sure their gut lining woudl have been destroyed by whatever caused teh diarrhea.
the histopathology report will take a couple days to come back, it will show any viral results.
mom and the vet went over every little detail of the kittens' history. the vets aid seh had a similar case when she was in grad school, adn the kittens testing positive for panleuk even though the symptoms were not the classic ones. She feels that what we have here is either fading kitten syndrome or panleuk.
Corolla is still with us. She is extremely bloated (as were the others) but mostly just seems lonely. Only time will tell.
the vet did tell mom that she had done everything right, there really wasn't anythign else to try except maybe amoxicillin for the bloating. it was good to hear that from the vet. we have some amoxi here.
