I decided a while back that a lot of vets don't take our pets quite as seriously as we take them. They have so many patients and I understand that, but THE PATIENT I brought is the one that is most important to me and as their advocate I require reasonable care for them.
I had a vet receptionist give me grief over canceling a surgery for my cat. I canceled because he was still sick and I was afraid he would not come out of the surgery, so I canceled that morning (which was a Monday, it's not like I could contact them over the weekend), and then when I took him in the following week for the dental extraction she gave me grief about it.....I wonder if she felt badly about that interaction with me when my cat died 20 minutes into the surgery.
Want me to kick the for you? That is all just ridiculous!
