Do you get the vibe that he was used to a dry food diet or canned? You might want to try the Science Diet Senior dry, as my cats fight over the stuff. I do not normally buy it, but when someone is sick, they still like the stuff. Also it is small kibbles, and easy to eat, for seniors.
