that the person who surrendered him is still around somewhere? Can the rescue organization find out what he was eating previously?
And just to add one more feeding idea, my rescue Angel was skin and bones and turned her nose up at everything until I offered her Innova EVO at which point she looked at me as if to say "Well! It's about time you gave me something I can EAT!" and dove in headfirst. I found myself thinking she might have had a grain allergy and instinctively knew not to eat any of the other foods I was offering her (although - like Bernard - that doesn't explain her refusal of actual meat).
