They give her fast-acting and slow-acting shots at the vet. But even the fast-acting one takes hours to take hold. She went under my bed last night (probably exhausted) and I put some tuna on a plate under there for her because she doesn't eat when her breathing is bad. This morning she was back in my office, breathing normally, looking for pets and talking to me.
BTW, I take her to EBAH on a non-appt. basis. Once I get her in the carrier, I call and tell them I'm on my way in. I usually don't wait long as they bring her in the back for the shots which the vet gives her inbetween regular appts. (Also because they want those meds in her ASAP.) I don't pay for a clinic visit.
