Cattywampus was found by my husband in a parking garage and had a broken leg. We got him to the vet and ended up keeping him. We had him until he was about 10 years old when he developed diabetes. The conventional wisdom then was that owners could not care for diabetic cats at home so we let him go over the Rainbow Bridge. We would NEVER do that now, so much has changed in diabetes care. Hey, I am a type 2 diabetic and no one has wanted to put ME to sleep!! Good luck little guy, and keep getting better!!
