he only had a few teeth left and 1 was abscessed and very very loose. So loose they just pulled it without putting him under. He came home the same day and a few hours later started hemoragging. It was like a murder scene. Horrible. Rushed him to the 24/7 hospital (same place they pulled it) and he passed during the night. He had many health issues and at the time was only 4 lbs. due to kidney problems, thyroid issues, a hole in his palate, chronic dehydration (gave him sub q fluids several times a week). I don't think 12 is too old. We had our Domino in for one this past Jan. (extraction) and he's 15. He did well but it took him a week to recover.
