One extraction and a cleaning. All bloodwork was done first and he came through it just fine since he was healthy.
Also, the anesthetic used these days is SO much safer than it was in the past. Bad teeth are more dangerous than the medical procedure.
12 is not really old for a cat as long as he's basically in good shape!
