I completely agree with you, education is very important. Unfortunately, people like the one Sasha was dealing with have a blocked mind and aren't open to anyone's viewpoint but their own. I've run in to quite a few like that... 
As I said, even my organization still tests kittens and if they test positive, we can't take them, due to space restraints and most adopters not wanting to take a chance on them. There is a new breed of adopter out there. They want a healthy, no-issue cat, with a warranty!
