With cats, I am allergic to the oils their hair secrets. If it gets into any membranes like my eyes I get all sore and red and sneeze. I also have to be careful after I shave, if they rub against my face after shaving I brake out. I have leaned to live with that all my life and work around it.
So consider that as well. Hope this helps.
