Need some input on medications for Buddy. msg

He is on the track to being better after this terrible attack to his lungs a few weeks ago. I am still trying to balance out his needs between work and so on. The Pred is to stop in about a week and a half. But he seems to have started his scratching again and a sore has showed up and had been irritated to the size of a quarter. Vet wants him back on the Atopica. But I am a little reserved on this. Both of these drugs can lower the immune system and though he seems to be pretty much back to him self I recall this may (may) have all started via the Atopica, to about a month later an URI followed by the respiratory attack and pneumonia. Related, coincidence? The vest and myself are still not sure what happen to him that triggered this. I may continue with the Pred, but I am going to get back with the vet about going back to the Atopica. Shame, this stuff really helped him in regards to the sores and itching.
