with all that's going on with you and you are still thinking of Ollie. Thank you, and especially for the prayers. Ollie is doing better in most ways. He's acting more himself, but still the opening and area of his stitches seem "moist".
The other day when we brought him in, part of it looked like, sorry for the graphic way to describe, but it looked a little like light liver. The vet said that's fine, just a little swollen so he went on a two different antibitiocs. One is a powder that numbs the area a bit, and the other is a liquid, if I don't have it infront of me I can't remember the name. But they seem to be helping.
The vet had him on clavamox for a day before all this, but since he still has diarrhea and getting worse, she switched him to that liquid. Poor Ollie, he really has diarrhea bad. So now he's on metronidazole.
He is doing pretty well though, and he is really eating great! Not interested in water like he was the first few days after surgery, but he's not deyhdrated. We let him out during the day a few times a day, but until that wound looks healed I don't want him running around. I'm worried about infection.
So all in all, I'd say Ollie is getting better each day. Thanks so much for asking. I have been keeping Smokey in prayer everyday too. I pray he is comfortable, and the treatments help him feel much better so he eats and acts his normal self soon. I know you and Jeff have been through so much with this. Your in my prayers too.
