That's one of the scary things about livestock animals - there's really no choice but to keep them in essentially very unprotected environments, and the bad elements out there know that.
I'm sorry for your neighbor's loss. I hope her cameras work and they can put a stop to this. (Sounds like the person might have known she took the cameras down, doesn't it?)19
