It's sold in petstores. It smells pleasantly of lemons to us, but cats really hate it. - We have no plants, Rhett won't leave them alone..nm

Are you sure you have only cat-safe plants in the house? So many are poisonous to kitties. We gave up on having house plants years ago.
Hanging plants up very high might be an option, but you would still have to be careful with any dropped leaves, dead branches, and spent flower petals.
Bitter Apple spray might work, but it doesn't always. I used it on real Christmas trees for a couple of years, spraying it on all the reachable branch tips, but one determined kitty would just eat right through it to bite off the tips and eat them. She'd throw them up and go right back for another one, so we gave up on real Christmas trees too.
I still have a house full of plant eaters. Any cut flowers or plants that come into our house go right onto the top of the refrigerator, the only place in the house they can't get to.

but I don't know if they can be used inside or how safe they are...you could try putting orange or lemon peels into the soil or on top of them or spritzing with lemon juice mixed with water which should not harm most plants that have waxy leaves, it probably won't help but you never know...some people have used cayenne pepper (as well as other stronger odor things) but I wouldn't want the cat to get into it or get it in it's eyes..it may work as a repellent but it would scare me a little to try and use it indoors that way.
Otherwise, maybe you need to take to hanging them up very high or putting them somewhere he can't get to. He's gorgeous!!
