Mine are all...msg

inside too (even when we had 30)...though they all were outside at the time I found them (except Fuzzy). We had, as you know, and I recall you did/do too...we had horses, we have 10 acres, and they kinda just come here from other farms, places that don't spay. They then become my worry. I'd take them all in, and have the ferals spayed and released, keep the babies in. But eventually the ferals wouldn't be so feral, and they'd come in too. |
But for the past several years, we've been having litters of raccoons, under our hay barn. That's good for me, cause as much as I love the cats, I don't want to take any more on if they show up. We're getting older and we would like to travel, and if anything happened to us, I don't know that my kids would want big numbers of cats dumped on them. So I welcome the wildlife (always did anyway...).
Also it's heartbreaking when you lose one, and I guess we will have quite a ways to go through all that too. I don't look forward to those times, but every year with oldsters, you can expect to lose someone, just how it goes.
21 is quite a nice age! We lost our Pooh who was 21+ this year. He had a big tumor in his bladder. He was the oldest one we ever had. Found him on the side of the road, and the vet didn't think he'd live. And look how long.
Thanks for helping the kitties.
