Posted by Mythical Registrar on August 5, 2006, 19:38:15 Monthly mythical event round-up: The following creatures will be dying shortly (death dates are stated in brackets following the name). For them, the standard death procedures apply. This means that they will not be permitted to breed past their actual death date, and they have a month following that date to 'play out' deaths if they wish (For example, a griffin with a death date of August 7, 2006, cannot breed past that date, and must be dead by September 7, 2006). Mythicals will be marked spirits automatically once they are one month past their death date: In the month of March: Gargoyle (March 6, 2006) In the month of April: Blue Eyes (April 26, 2006) In the month of May: Alatariel (May 1, 2006) In the month of June: Lord Of Fire (June 24, 2006) In the month of July: Crotchety (July 10, 2006) In the month of August: Ashes (August 5, 2006) In the month of September: Blood (September 23, 2006) REMINDERS If your mythical dies (either due to old age or predation), please report it here. This is especially important when your mythical dies from a cause other than old age. If it is old age from which your mythical dies, the default procedure will be for me to mark it as a spirit unless told otherwise. If you do not want it marked as a spirit, but rather want it removed entirely (or if you want it marked as a spirit before the month following its death date passes), please let me know. Remember that mythicals which die as a result of old age cannot be restored with a life blessing. Mythicals that die as a result of predation or the death blessing, however, can be restored the same as any other char.

As I have been away and have not been posting the monthly mythical event updates as usual, this post will contain several months. Please remember that although I do try to post these updates to make dates clear, it is nonetheless your responsibility to be aware when your mythical is going to die. Due to my absence, some leniency will be granted with regards to death dates in order to play out deaths, and to allow any parent dragons who have already posted for results but not yet recieved them to play a bit of parenthood should they wish. I have not yet updated the results board, but I believe some pairings may still be waiting for clutches. I will get to them shortly. However, final breed dates will have far less leniency, due to the fact that, as stated earlier, it is your responsibility to be aware of your mythical's death date, not mine. If your mythical has past its death date and does not already have a results request posted, then I have afraid it is too late for it to breed, though I may consider exceptions on a case by case basis for the next week or so (depending upon what argument you can provide as to why your mythical should still be permitted a final clutch...and 'I forgot my mythical was dying' is not a good argument).
