Theres nothing anyone can say or do to help someone deal with a death. I am 33 and lost my fiance less than a month ago. Half of what anyone says to me I do not hear because I am so numb. All you can do is be there for your friend. Listen to him when he needs to talk. Know that your friend knows your there for him whenever he needs you. That is a comfort to him.
