Posted by Pastor Ed You, like so many others and me included, may have lost sight of the best freind you could ever have. Of course I'm spaeking about Jesus. I haven't heard anyone say thank God I have my Lord beside me to help me through this time of trial. Often we loose sight of the eternal and focus on the material things in life. But this is how to deal with this stress. One day at a time. Use positive affirmations every day like: You see if you set your sub conscious mind in the right direction it will work to make your affirmings happen. If you plant negative thought in your sub conscious mind you can bet your life that you will get what you asked for. I hope you get my meaning here. Have you asked the Lord to show you the way or are you blaming Him for the loss os your loved one. May the peace of Christ be with you.

Kerri:
I'm not saying it's not difficult for you, grieving is a process.
My father and I were very, very close and he was called to be with the Lord at the age of 52. Yhat was in 1969. I still grieve his loss but I'm thankful for the memories. My mom was a perfect example of the person who says "what am I going to do now, my rock is gone".
I suggested she get a job and she did.
One day at a time (dear Jesus) sounds like a hymn.
I'm getting stronger every day
I will have a great day today.
Nothing will upset me today. etc. etc.
For example:
I'm so stressed out I can't think straight.
My whole world is crashing in on me.
This day sucks. etc. etc.
God is not finished with you yet.
Sometimes were are handed a hugh trial but I believe the Lord always has something better for you down the road.
Pastor Ed
