Debbie- I was almost glad to hear you say February is a tough month because of Valentine's Day. Sometimes I think I am crazy because it's such a commercial holiday, but it affects me so much. I don't know how I am going to make it through this month, to be honest with you. On the 2nd will be the 6 month anniversary of Rob's passing. The 4th is his birthday. The 14th- Valentine's day, and the 25th was our anniversary. It's just going to be one hit after another it seems. I'm just going to try to keep taking it a day at a time.
I hope everything went well with your surgery. Judith, I hope you are feeling better as well! It's so hard even getting a cold without Rob around, I can only imagine what both of you are going through...please know I am thinking of both of you during your hard times!
I was reading a quote the other day from the book "The Five People You Meet in Heaven." I'm sure you've both probably heard it before, but it really hit me & I keep reading it over and over...I find it very comforting. I will post it for anyone else who hasnt heard it before...
"Love lost is still love, it just takes a different form, that's all. You can't hold their hand, you can't tousle their hair, but when those senses weaken, another one comes to life - memory. Memory becomes your partner, you hold it, you dance with it. Life has to end....love doesn't."
I think this just epitomizes living without your loved one. It makes me feel a bit more peaceful and closer to Rob.
Love and prayers to all of you!
