Dear Char,
I have just read your message and my heart goes out to you. It's been a week or so since I have been on here myself. February till March 4th is a hard time for me. I get hit with Valentines Day, our wedding anniversary and on March 4th the sad anniversay of my husband's passing. It will be 3 years this year.
Please tell me about yourself and your pain that you are in?
I will remember you in my prayers that you get the SSDI. I remember when we went thru heck trying to get it for my husband.. Why does it seem when life deals you a severe blow it's not just one of them but several at a time.
I remember the pain and hurt in the early months. I can still feel it when I think back. It was certainly the most low point of my life that I can ever remember and I just wanted to not do anything but we have a son who was 9 at the time and I had to deal with my pain and help him to deal with his.
I read a lot of books on grief and the grief process. Plus I read a book called Chicken Soup for the Grieving Soul. It did help. If you can get some books at the library they should have things like that. Also check with a hospital to see if they run any grief groups. We did that too and it did help both of us. We were in different groups. I was of course in the one for having lost a spouse and he was in the kids one. They too help. I did journaling-writing him notes and letters also jotting down special memories that I do not want to let go off.
I hope you hear soon on the SSDI. My prayers and hopes are with you
Hugs to you
debbie
