I sit here with tears of joy running down my cheeks. I just got back from watching the Bucket List with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, what a wonderful movie. The best part is that I went with Roy's mom. We shared popcorn and then we went to Culvers for 2 of Roy's favourite meals.. the fish sandwich and the butter burger. We were both thinking of Roy today.
When I met Roy, he thought we were jealous of each other, and he had told me he hoped that she and I would become good friends... I think of her as one of my best friends. She has been here for me through everything.
My mother has her plate full with her own problems, and I know in her heart she is worried about me, but she didn't know what today was.
My dear sweet Roy, I smiled for you today, I laughed for you today, my heart is open for you today, and I love your mother and I am blessed to be here with her...
So, today marked the beginning of year 3 of not having you here with me. But, in my heart you stay, and never shall our love go away.
With all my heart, I let you go, finally to rest in that beautiful sky we call Paradise.
I hope to hear your laughter tonight, and maybe see your beautiful face I soooo miss. Perhaps just a wave from you telling me you're okay, but whenever you are able, I am ready to see you, and I promise to let you go.
Lovingly,
Judith
