I am very sorry to hear about your friend. My closest cousin passed away in April of a heroin overdose at 19 years old. She had just gotten out of rehab, and even though she was in a coma for 3 weeks, her brain never gained reactivity. She understood me better than anyone.. with our moms being sisters, and so alike as mothers, she was the first person i'd call when i had a falling out with my mom. I miss her every day... so I can relate your your story Matt and I feel your pain. So much confusion and I get that feeling in the pitof my stomach in the moments of realizing she is really GONE. A week after her memorial, we found out my dad had stage 4 esophageal cancer. He passed July 17...he was only 55. It's so hard to know how to deal with grief... but I think it's important we reach out to ppl who have felt similiar pain.
