an enjoyable issue for what it was. would rather that it was really aquaman as opposed to some guy who shares both name and powers as aquaman. but, there may be an explanation in there somewhere...
the new kid's origin reads suspiciously like the golden-age aquaman who was not a hybrid nor son of atlantean sorcerers, but a landlubber granted the ability to breathe underwater by his scientist father.
the other thing that struck me strange was a flashback indicating that it was king-shark that killed neptune perkins (grrr) whereas i thought it was the green lantern villain the shark. admittedly the two look almost identical these days.
i will continue with the series for while.
