Turning into water and Duplicating himself is a little much. Controlling the rain? Hmmm...I think that's plausible especially if the rain was already falling but even if it's not considering that the hand is made of magic I think causing it to rain is within the realm of possibilities.

: Thanks alot guys. One of the new powers I
: wanted him to have was the ability to change
: his hand into any weapon he wanted, aswell
: as turn his body into water. Something like
: sandman from spider-man. He can control all
: water around him from fire hydrants, rain,
: and he can make duplicates of himself. So
: what do you think? A little to much, or
: acceptable?
:
: A little too much. Esp. from the dupilcate
: angle. The controlling water is plausible,
: but never really been shown much in comics.
: Then again they never really explained much
: on his hand either. It was said that it
: could be a liquid free flowing form and
: harden like as if it was steel. In one issue
: of aquaman, Superman was putting down Arthur
: and he took his water hand and punched
: Supes. It hurt him cause it was magic. Then
: his hand liquified and filled up into
: Superman's eyes, mouth and nose as Artie
: demanded respect.
:
: The Ultimate Pimp hand.
:
: I think for a fan fiction, controlling
: accessible water around him is plausible,
: but to make rain...not so much.

: Can swim underwater at rates up to 100 mph
:
: He can swim a hell of alot faster than that.
: His gone as fast as 10,000 feet per second
: before.
:
: I don't doubt that. They seem to flux
: depending on the writer. He's just damn
: fast.
:
: Can withstand extremes of temperature and
: pressure
:
: Pressures of around 16,000 pounds per square
: inch.
:
:
:
: Son of wizard and Atlantean queen,
:
: Current Origin
:
: "gift" of Poseidon (sea god)
:
: I guess meaning his connection to the sea
: and that sea life respect him more than
: Poseidon. He was handed the legacy and
: burden by Poseidon himself.
:
:
: Could you expand on this? I'm not sure i
: understand...

: Hi, I've been reading comics since I was 7
: and
: I never understood aquaman's power. All I
: know he can do is swim fast, use telepathy,
: and posses super-human strengh. I ask this
: because i was doing a fan fiction and was
: planing on giving him new powers to go with
: his old ones. So I was wondering does he
: have any other power than those and which
: comics show them off, because I don't want
: mess up the character or anything because I
: don't know his power.
:
: Two of his lesser know abilities: He can
: kind of sense water in the area, and he can
: hear well into the subsonic range.

:
: Throughout the thread there are plenty of
: scans that I and other people have
: contirbuted. Later on in the thread there's
: organised sections devoted to each of
: Aquaman abilities (his Teleptahy, Strength,
: Waterhand etc.). That should help you get a
: bead on his abilities and what level they're
: at.
:
:
: I may actually post the thread here soon.
:
:
: Please do. It would be a great read.
