You know what I like best about this book now? It's definitely not the current Aquaman, who honestly does feel like a placeholder. It's the feeling that things are going somewhere and that there's a plan. Busiek's OYL start was strong but the book quickly seemed to be treading water. In just three issues Tad Williams has established a quicker pace and a feeling that he knows where he wants to go with all this. Yes, I know many aren't thrilled with Shawn MacManus (I am) but he's also establishing a consistency artistically the book lacked as well. My only gripe is that the transitions aren't that great but against the complaints I had with the book before him that's nothing. Just, can we start calling the new guy AJ? Please?
