Aquaman 57 (spoilers)

Well, it's finally over. In this issue we learn at long last what was up with the new Aquaman. It's that the boy (whose name I think all along was just Joseph Curry) died but his father used some water from classic Aquaman's hand to bring him back to life, but in so doing transformed classic Aquaman into the dweller, whose fate we don't learn. That weird Narwhal character turns out to have been Koryak and then he just leaves. Oh yeah, and "Joseph" learns all about his true origins from the Lady of the Lake! Remember her? I suppose it was a decent bookending to this series. And now it's over, and though we're promised we'll see him again in the new Outsiders series, I think that idea has been nixed too. Well, Joseph is going to fight Superman to keep some Kryptonite in Superman/Batman in a couple of months. Maybe that will be the start of something ... but why do I somehow doubt it?
