Aquaman's only line was when he was for some inexplicable reason standing outside of Hal Jordan's rebuilt apartment complex, and Flash races past and says "Is that Hal Jordan's apartment?" and Aquaman says, "Yes." It was really terrible. But that mini was awful anyway. I can't believe I bought all the issues. And the first three from the Green Lantern ongoing too. Man, I'm remembering why I don't buy Geoff Johns comics. If this Johns Aquaman series ever happens, I'll have some real soul searching to do ...

: Well, I thought he made Aquaman alot more
: useful in Rebirth the Wonder Woman or anyone
: in the JSA (who had no lines).
:
: But you also have to take into account how
: awesome Johns made AQ ins Crisis of
: Conscience.

: but he made Aquaman look useless in Green
: Lantern: Rebirth. It actually made me a
: little angry at how badly Johns did that.
: What a waste. And I also dimly recall him
: stating he "couldn't get into Aquaman's
: head," or some such nonsense. Needless
: to say, I don't exactly believe him when he
: says he loves Aquaman. I think he likes to
: find little crusades at DC. He brought back
: Hal Jordan (to the chagrin of Kyle fans) and
: he fought to keep Nightwing alive, which
: resulted in Bruce Jones not getting to do
: the story he wanted to do on Nightwing.
: He's yanking Ted Kord fans' chains right
: this moment. I hear he's getting the ball
: rolling on a Barry Allen: rebirth story too,
: which doesn't make sense because I thought
: Wally West was "his" character.
: No, I get he's a god among internet fanboys,
: but I don't trust him.
:
: Of course if he wrote the new Aquaman
: series, I'd buy it. But I'd keep my eyes
: open for hints his heart isn't in it.

: He made AQ look awesome in his JLA run.

: That would be my dream writer on Aquaman. I
: mean, if anyone can breathe any life into
: Aquaman it's him. He even respected Aquaman
: during the Superfriends era and that's a
: tough one to do.
:
: Perhaps there is hope afterall.

: "I love Aquaman. I really, really love
: Aquaman. I’d love to work on Aquaman. I’ll
: just leave it at that.”
:
: This gives me goose bumps just thinking
: about it. Geoff Johns is by far the best
: writer at DC today and he specializes with
: 2nd tier/underused characters like AQ. It's
: almost too good to be true.
