Hi Everyone, I'm Ju Ping (not the real one - I'm not a Chinese gymnastics coach ) and I'm also sometimes known as Wolfie or ABUSIVEBELU. Rightly or wrongly, I think it's worth exploring the possibility of a different message board for the discussion of Australian gymnastics - one that requires membership. I realise that membership won't eliminate trolls, but I hope it will at least reduce the number of trolls that lurk under our bridge. However, I definitely don't want to step on anyone's toes. For this reason, I would like to take the opportunity to thank Robin for the excellent and thankless job she has done with the current 'Aussie gym'n'more board' and to encourage her to become a moderator or administrator on the new trial board. If Robin wishes to be a moderator at this board, she will be definitely be given this right - no questions asked. She has earnt it. On the topic of moderators, I need volunteers for this role. I'm hoping to have a minimum of 5 moderators - perhaps more. So if you would like to be a moderator, please e-mail me at janeymay19@hotmail.com The required characteristics of moderators are as follows: - Must be calm and sensible (well, as much as possible) - Must be enthusiastic and passionate - Must be totally non-judgemental about religion, politics, race and sexual persuasion - Must be a supporter of free speech** - **Must abhor nasty, vindictive and personal attacks. It is the last two criteria that will be the most difficult to reconcile, so moderators will need to use their discretion. Anyway, please send me an e-mail, introduce yourself and let me know who you are on current gym boards. I might make a poll and get people to vote for moderators, but all advice will be gratefully received on this topic. I do hope that some of the regular posters on this current board volunteer to be moderators. Oh, and if you'd like to nominate a moderator, please let me know. This board is a trial only. If people don't like it and/or don't use it, I can easily delete the board. I will not be in the least bit offended if it doesn't fly. So please be honest with me.
