So cool to read something from a stand up bodyboard shaper. I grew up in Waimanalo but have since moved to north shore Kauai and stand up bodyboard almost exclusively. After 3 years of riding my custum 46' Toobs 'Herlihy' Stand-up BB, i finally broke its back on a sand-sliding accident. I'm ready for a new one...
One thing I did notice about that board is it doesent cut through the water and turn and seemingly pick up speed like I see other boarders doing. So now I want both but don't really know what aspect of the board facilitates that...rails? I almost want to get a big prone board and stand on it. But I really need a custom one...want a new project?
