Posted by Jenifer I need a song that says goodbye and that I love him and that I will miss him. There is no anger or hurt. Just a bit of selfishness on my part because I don't want him to go. Long story short. My best friend and I dated for 3 years (met in 1996), but have been platonic friends for the last 6 years although we were every aspect of a couple except we were not intimate. We spent 98% of our time together - always together on the weekends and even spent a few nights per week together. Anyway, even after all these years my love for him never died. He was and still is the only man I ever wanted to spend my life with. We are both 35. He, however, was able to put out his fire towards me and think of me only as his very best friend. I just found out that he is moving back to his homestate and I am DEVASTATED. He has been my only companion for the last 9 years of my life. All of my girlfriends have since got married and moved away. I can't imagine what my life will be like without him.
