Posted by dalsyn you have a latency problem, this means you press a key on keyboard and computer has to work out what you are doing and then play it, hence delay. lots of ways to get round it, first is to simply have a s~~t hot computer system and soundcard, theres a mixed bag of tweeks in the middle and finally you theres recording to a clik track one track at a time, but you have to know what you are going to play. you can mute tracks you already recorded but a dot in the "M"(for mute) row in cubase main seq window. If its cubase 5 / sx you can easily find the manual on the net, search for cubase version 5 on google and download it.
