A murky day, a packed club shop, pre-Christmas blues and a result to go with it. The return of Cox and a solid defence against a side who can score goals - didn't take long for that illusion to be shattered. with Lee's reputation you might have thought that someone anyone would have been detailed to stand somewhere close so what is it gift the away team a goal so we can make a match of it ? then do it again and again and again etc etc etc? Rotherham could have had a cricket score if they had passed to the man in space. Burnley didn't get the run of the ball but you have to try to make your own luck we probably would have missed an open goal from 2 feet the way they played , surely the fan's murder didn't get to them? Yet again we were let down by some really sloppy marking and the ref did his best to aid our downfall with very few decisions going our way. Blake was particularly badly treated and a linesman who needed to see when the ball was kicked, not who was away with the ball when it came over. I was sad to see that Lee resorted to cheating with his dives and head holding to win free kicks and I know why he has been sent off in the past if that's how he operates. Mullin seems to have become more accurate from distance certainly more than we were with our wayward shooting Blake can hold his head up Briscoe Cox Weller Cook and Davis at times looked totally out of it. Ah well the London Clarets would definitely get a good start on their return journey with their three goals rule. Bread water and 6 am starts for the squad Stan certainly no turkey as we don't want another stuffing !
