Couldn't get to the match last night but I was extremely pleased to hear that Ian had got two really good goals (yes, I'm aware that all BFC goals are good goals!....you know what I mean)Despite quite a bit of stick recently heard from other fans at the ground rather than on here, that he hasn't been performing of late, I've always rated him as a fans' player, yes he should perhaps have scored more goals but from the workrate point of view, if all the others put in the same amount of effort, then we'd be at least six places higher. Never been keen on all this passing back to the keeper to kick up field in just the same way that the player with the ball could have done, I've always enjoyed the fear of God he puts the opposing keeper under and it has produced goals too. Without him up front it's not quite the same, Blake does sometimes threaten to challenge but I've not seen anyone who has quite the pace to cut the keepers' clearance down to a frenzied punt to the wing and the Clarets back on the attack. Now Blake has silky skills that Moore doesn't possess in quite the same way, superb forethought and passing, so we haven't to play them in the same mould. Now is the time to be a Little, Moore adventurous and play Papa either early or late and then ring the changes and start with 3 up front and put some defences under real pressure. This would be even more realistic with a proper midfield general, marshalling and winning the ball....something we've missed for a while although Weller as captain seemed to be getting more of the hang of that role and then got injured. Anyone any ideas for a loan player we could get from a prem side who might fit the bill? We have the talent to be punishing teams regularly and moving on up the table. Let's get Brentford soundly beaten and move on to better things and more revenue so that Stan can have a dabble in the transfer/ loan market. Mulder and Scully knew they were out there ! so let's find them and turn the world Claret and Blue!!!!
