I fancy we could get a cup run going by beating Brentford. I'll go for 2-0.
Rumour has it that it was during the 3-0 win at Brentford a few years back that The Sun decided to start supporting Labour in the run-up to the election when the editor at the time, BFC fan Stuart Higgins, sat next to Ali Campbell at the game and the deal was struck, helping catapult the Tories where they belong. Always liked that ground, with a pub at every corner. Lived v. close to it for a couple of years in the early 80s and had a party at my place that attracted a large contingent of the travelling Clarets after a 0-0 '81 draw - created a 'lively' atmosphere down the South Ealing Road late on.
So what is this Diallo like? Could he be another Arthur? Seems to have done well early doors. Or will it mean Earl drifting away from the picture as Shandran did?
Draws aplenty recently - is the season going to drift along mid-table, or could we still put a run together despite the injuries.
Should be back on the board regular like when I get online at home again after I move into permanent place in about 6 wks - not that my absence will have bothered anyone. Real brass monkey weather over here in NJ, 'ice-boating' a bit like sand yachts on ice of frozen rivers, is the in sport right now.
