Yet again examples of Taylor getting pulled up everytime for rouls and yet there were clear examples of pushes as the ball arrived and even nudges in the thigh to over balance Taylor. Having said that we didn't exploit the conditions at all today. Anyone could have said we should have been getting balls in from the byelins from the left out of the sun and putting their defence on the back foot - we didn't and paid the price from a lack of corners. We never had sufficient players in or around the box and I thought we looked as though we were yet again playing for a draw. We didn't really attack the ball as we had against Fulham and didn't look like scoring , very tame and a poor advert for ourselves and the division. Whilst you have to believe that a win was possible there were an awful lot of chickens being counted - echoes to me of the semi against Newcastle - again we didn't do ourselves justice. So we CONCENTRATE on the league .......I would like to be proved wrong but I reckon we might be in for a heavy defeat against the Warlock of Sheffield and his evil henchmen...today will be quickly forgotten if we could turn the tables on the LISTENER Come on you Clarets restore some pride and use the games in hand to push on. The decision to split the winnings now seems the wisest thing to come out of a pretty dismal day.
