To me it seemed like we'd never had a summer break apart from the missing players of course. The defence looked decidedly shakey and we tried to dribble the ball into the net far too many times. I did like Chadwicks runs but he too will need to learn when to pass the ball and we must try to put on our shooting boots from a greater distance out. I liked the effort from Chaplow and know that he's still got to learn his trade. Blake was wasteful apart from the free kick. We desperately missed the front two and Weller needs to think more clearly about what he wants the ball to do. Afur was a sad shadow of what he can do. We desperately need at least one solid centre half and someone who would like to boss midfield. All in all a poor start BUT no team is relegated on the first day and no-one wins the league either. We seem to have started slowly these last few seasons- lets hope we up to speed soon or it could be an anxious season
