With a bit more rub of the green we would have had at least something from the Wigan game , but just ended up with frustration and the thought that the season wouldn't really get going until a certain G Taylor was back in the team. So I wasn't expecting much from the Gillingham match and received a great but very acceptable surprise with a 3 goal win....... steps forward? then comes the confirmation that we are selling the family silver with Gareth off to Forest...how many steps back is that then..... So how do we move on from here ? Surely we need someone with height and ablity in the box. Will Stan have someone in mind .. I hope so... we are sadly depleted in squad terms and with injuries and suspensions we will be desperately stretched several times over the season thus giving away points to teams such as Wigan that we should have every expectation of beating. I await news of the arrival of a recognised and experienced striker with bated breath. Any ideas anyone?
