I think Beej is suffering from Sam-itis - a screaming jock who thinks they can snap their fingers and land in a large market. It takes more than being a PD or a screaming night jock in the 250s to land a top 50 job.
(And please do not say that Dave did. He worked in Houston before going to Sacramento. Dave is the most talented jock this area has seen in 20 years.)
