Saying "Today's Best Music" and playing the hits is fine. Saying "Today's Best Music" and playing a song not on the charts or that has never been on the charts would drive me nuts.
Lying to your listeners is simply wrong. KMMR is part of the reason why radio is in the situation at hand. LYING about being LIVE AND LOCAL, LYING about power, coverage, etc. There is no credibility to this industry anymore.
I've been in radio 20 years, been to the bigs been in the smalls and am in a medium market right now. Yeah. People that destruct the industry that I love drive me nuts.
