You have no idea how much FREE PRESS he gets from doing those cut ins with the TV station. It's a win / win for both sources. When I was on the air in Tampa, We went to the TV camera once per hour in the mornings at at 4:30 and 5:30 every afternoon. We got two :30 spots in every newscast. We also had our night show doing a daily live read of what was coming up in the Morning Tampa Tribune. In return we got a 3x5 ad in the first section of evry days paper. Ain't nothin' wrong with a little self promotion. Especially if you are in radio. Any press is good press!
