You might - no, make that should - view anything attributed to someone else with a great deal of skepticism unless you have factual information on which to rely. I seriously doubt that Beck said what you attribute to him. I can't prove it without expending a great deal of time researching it and I'm not going to do that. I do know that following accusations about the racist and demeaning remarks attributed to Rush Limbaugh (by no less then Wikipedia) in his foray into purchase of the Rams, it was proven that those "quotes" were false. There were many, many links on the internet giving those bogus quotes (so don't come back with web links - they aren't reliable). And, there were no apologies from those who maligned him with those accusations when they were proved false. Most responses were typical of the Post Dispatch's Bryan Burwell, (paraphrased) "well it's believable as something he could have said."
I have good reason to believe you've gotten your information from some left wing websites as your assertion that "77% of the people favor health reform" comes directly from a flawed poll promoted on the Huffington Post. And to that I can legitimately say, B.S. Pick your poll. Most reputable polls show that a significant majority of voters do NOT favor the bills currently being presented in either house of congress - but you're welcome to call me a liar as well.
If you've watched any of Beck the past few weeks - and I'm sure you haven't - I can guarantee that he never came close to saying anything you attributed to him in those broadcasts. He is ONLY presenting facts (unless of course you don't want to believe the video and audio clips he's showing) and asking questions. He asks that you draw your own conclusions - not accept any of his. Personal attacks calling him a drunk pot-head certainly don't answer the questions nor repute what he is presenting. It also betrays your ideology. If you truly think you're a Libertarian, then you don't know how that is defined.
Beck is marshaling facts and posing questions. If you can prove his assertions wrong (as opposed to calling him names) do so. You might want to be a true Libertarian and think seriously about what the answers are to the questions he poses.
This really isn't the board to discuss politics and I've already wasted time presenting a cogent argument to those indoctrinated by political ideologies. Make your own decisions on what's true and what's a lie but personal attacks and regurgitation of propaganda is not a way to win others to your cause.
