Marvy is so right when she says that eating Junk food is like feeding our bodies with garbage... So true!! I am pretty sure it is easier to diet when you don't have a family to take care of and who needs dinner on the table each day... If that is a problem for you, try to make new arrangements so you don't mess up with your diet. Ask your husband too cook, if the children are old enough, maybe they can prepare the meal sometime...Like I said in a previous post, it is important to plan your meals when it's time to start eating real food. I also think it is important to involve the whole family in the new way of eating... If we don't want to feed ourselves with Junk, we should not offer it to the rest of the family either!!! I'm stunned when I see a mom or dad eating a salad, but the kids are having hamburgers, pizza and fatty snack... No wonder obesity is a huge problem even among young kids!! When we go to the grocery store, we have a choice. We can buy healthy food or not so healthy... If we bring home fatty, unhealthy food, someone will eat it, maybe it is even you... Remember that you can't eat what's NOT in your house!!
Think about the snacking... There are lots of delicious but fatty snacks and it's easy to get access to it - and we do buy it when we start feeling hungry... My advice is to always have some healthy snack in your handbag. I always have a fruit, some nuts (with no salt or oil, and not a whole bag, I put some in a small box, or I will eat too much) and a low-cal bar in my handbag... It's a perfect way of snacking during the day and it keeps the amount of cals down!! Try it, you will get used to it... An apple is way better than a big muffin or a bag of chips!! Enjoy!
Good luck!! Mia.
